I Do Not Use Soap

I don’t wash my hair, I use a lemon for deodorant, and I wash my face with oil... I couldn’t make this up if I tried!

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis. Plaques of skin sealed my pores and gave me horrific cystic acne, lesions, and infections. I had to take 5 pills and two shots a day just to be okay with wearing a light cotton T-shirt. I didn’t sleep because laying down was painful. I didn’t leave my house because the thought of people seeing my skin made me embarrassed.

Several times I was hospitalized due to infection of my skin.

How did I go from that to where I’m at today? Cutting out the chemicals.

I stopped using shampoo, I cut out un-natural soaps, I washed my clothing in boiling water with no detergent, I eliminated all processed foods. I was fighting this tooth and nail. Things were okay but not great.

Then I discovered oil cleansing. You essentially rub your skin with oil as if it was soap, then scrub/wipe it off with a hot, wet cloth.

Not only is oil cleansing gentle, it is extremely nourishing to your skin. It helps turn back the time and helps you eliminateg fine lines and wrinkles. The oil dissolves black heads, rebalances the pH of your skin, and helps slow your oil production. With the rebalancing of my skin’s Microbiome, the psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis has calmed down. And thus, the acne is gone and I can finally walk outside without feeling embarrassed, hiding under a hat, and wearing long sleeves all the time.
